Denise Bindelglass recently joined Dose Media as vice president of people and culture. Bindelglass has spent the majority of her career leading and managing human resources functions and teams for market leading companies based in Chicago. A common theme has been joining companies that are scaling rapidly and companies that put a premium on culture. Bindelglass leverages HR as a strategic function, building dynamic leadership programs and initiatives to empower managers and encourage internal career movement, while ensuring total rewards and recognition programs result in a company culture that attracts and retains the best talent.
Prior to Dose, Bindelglass was the vice president of HR for Classified Ventures, a consortium-owned business that included several leading digital businesses such as Cars.com and Apartments.com. Prior to joining Classified Ventures, Bindelglass served as chief human resources officer for proprietary trading firm Sun Trading, where she re-engineered the talent acquisition model, scaled the business, led HR-related initiatives for acquisitions, introduced new total compensation platforms, built training and development programs and defined human capital strategic plans as part of the senior management team. Bindelglass has held senior internal HR leadership roles across a variety of industries including publishing, digital e-commerce, software development and financial services, as well as experience in human capital consulting and executive search.
Bindelglass earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. She serves on the board of the Illinois Technology Association and the Old Town School of Folk Music. She is also an adjunct professor at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where she created and now teaches a career development course for engineering students at the McCormick School of Engineering.
